Interestingly, the Georgians call “blends” those wines made from the same grape harvested over many vineyards. Diora 2018 La Grand Majesté Pinot Noir, San Bernabe AVA??. A rare appellation (AVA) with only one vineyard and one owner, San Bernabe is tucked under the Santa Lucia Mountains in Monterey County.

They are further subdivided into Rive, for the steeper and therefore better vineyard areas, and at the top of the new quality pyramid, a single and very steep vineyard, or “cru” known as Cartizze. Slightly Sweet.

They have 300 hectares of vineyards throughout Rioja and are considered one of the largest estates in Rioja. It is aged for eight months in natural oak.

Miraval Rosé 2018 from the Côtes de Provence is a near-pink color, not too dark or too pale, with a soft but structured mouth feel. But I recently tasted their 2018 Sauvignon Blanc and enjoyed the ripe melon and guava flavors. Shafer Vineyards offers red wines galore. For the Trend Setter.
